Vanessa Madeira is also a Director of The Eye Shop Shepparton. She has many roles, but among the most important is providing clients with expert, friendly fashion and style advice. Vanessa believes that when they are being worn, spectacles are an important fashion accessory as well as a practical device, so a great looking pair of glasses has the ability to make their owner feel fantastic, as well as being able see the world better!
Vanessa graduated from St. Joseph’s Girl High School in Cuttack, India in 1989. After high school, she completed a Diploma of Teachers Training whilst teaching at St. Mary’s Convent School in her family’s home town of Jharsuguda. Vanessa moved to Shepparton in 1995. She has completed an Advanced Certificate in Reception/Secretary Skills at Melbourne’s famous Suzan Johnston Institute, and worked briefly as a Medical Receptionist, before starting her family. She has worked in the optics industry since 2001.
Vanessa has a passion for fashion, and enjoys visiting shopping centres anywhere, whether they are here in Shepparton, other big regional centres such as Bendigo or Albury, our capital cities such as Melbourne and Sydney, or when travelling overseas. Vanessa served on the School Board at St. Brendan’s Primary School from 2008 to 2011, and enjoys the company of family and friends, watching movies, listening to music, playing badminton, and learning to play guitar.
